A letter for your child, to open when they're older
Write the letter to your daughter for her 18th birthday now, while you remember everything. Add photos, record a video, and seal it for the morning of the day.
Examples
On SealedIn, a message for later is called an envelope: a letter, photos or a video, sealed until the moment you choose. These are examples, written by us to show what's possible.

How it works
Write or record it
A letter, photos, a video.
Choose who and when
The date and the minute.
Seal it
It waits until then, and we deliver it.
Choose the morning, not just the day
Set it for breakfast time on their birthday, or the evening they leave home. If you have more than one child, send each their own envelope, or one to all of them.
Which plan you'll need
An envelope for a birthday up to 3 years away is free. An 18th birthday, written while they're small, is further than that, so it's a Premium envelope: a one-off £4.99, sealed for up to 25 years.
Not sure what to write?
What were they like at the age they are now?
What do you hope they'll have kept, and what do you hope they'll have let go?
What do you wish someone had told you at eighteen?
What's happening in the world, and in your house, this week?
In case life doesn't go to plan
Some parents write these letters because they want their children to have their words, whatever happens. An envelope you seal is delivered on its date, whether or not you're still using SealedIn. It isn't released early, and SealedIn doesn't know about deaths: it simply keeps its date.

Questions
Can I write a letter to my child to open at 18?
Yes. Seal it as a Premium envelope for their 18th birthday, set for the minute you choose; we aim to deliver within a minute.
What if their email address changes?
A sealed envelope's address can't be changed, so for a long wait use an address they'll keep, or one of yours to forward. You can cancel and reseal at any time before.
Do they need an account to open it?
Yes, a free one, with a one-time code — no password.
